Apart from bringing together testing specialists, EuroSTAR Conference provides also a space for demonstration of cutting-edge software testing trends, techniques and tools. It offers a great opportunity for the attendees to develop technical expertise and find new inspiration during numerous tutorials, workshops or networking sessions. Each year EuroSTAR Conference attracts representatives of the leading IT companies and organizations, e.g.: Tricentis, JetBrains, Karate Labs, LambdaTest, SauceLabs, XRAY, SmartBear and many others.<\/p>\n

EuroSTAR Conference agenda is always very diverse. It includes a variety of talks, workshops, discussion panels and networking sessions. The participants may attend tutorials run by experienced experts, who share their know-how and best practices of software testing.<\/p>\n

Soflab team participated in many talks, tutorials and interesting workshops, e.g.:<\/p>\n

\u201cMeasurement, Metrics, and Magic Numbers\u201d \u2013 a tutorial by Michael Bolton, showing the value of critical thinking and analytical skills in software testing.<\/p>\n

\u201cCSI Testing \u2013 A Simulation Game\u201d \u2013 a workshop by Adam Mat\u0142acz, discussing the importance of good team cooperation, of asking good questions and of ability to filter valuable pieces of information, key for the project success, particularly in complex setups with many internal dependencies.<\/p>\n

\u201cCritical Thinking Skills for Testers\u201d \u2013 a tutorial by Michael Bolton on the effective techniques of critical thinking which help to deal confidently with difficult testing situations and improve the skills of identifying and describing bugs.<\/p>\n

\u201cSharpen the Axe! An Adventure Game about Test Automation\u201d \u2013 a workshop by Anne Kramer showing that the project success depends on the way a team works together, and successful test automation starts with well-structures test cases and requires participation of all team members.<\/p>\n

\u201cSocial Software Testing Approaches\u201d \u2013 a workshop by Maaret Pyh\u00e4j\u00e4rvi and Mirja Pyh\u00e4j\u00e4rvi showing how to improve collaboration skills in paired and grouped work, build mutual understanding and respect for different skill sets, and foster collaboration in teams, particularly in times of remote work.<\/p>\n

Keynote talks by the software testing experts<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The conference provides a number of opportunities for interaction with fellow attendees, e.g. Bug hunting. If also offers a space for sharing know-how and experience during numerous games and meetings in smaller groups, as well as for discussing recent industry trends during the Q&A sessions following the keynote talks.<\/p>\n

As every year, the event attracted a number of keynote speakers from the software testing industry. The group included the best recognized and acclaimed experts, such as Jo Dalton talking about \u201cThe Cyber Security of Smart \u2018Adult\u2019 Toys \u2013 or Lack of it!\u201d, Geosley Andrades speaking on gamification in her talk \u201cSpice up your Testing, and Gamify it Out!\u201d, Jecelyn Yeen from Google, speaking about WebDriver BiDi, which is Google\u2019s future automation solution, during the talk \u201cWebDriver BiDi \u2013 The Future of Cross-Browser Automation\u201d) and many others. Each of the speakers offered a unique perspective and added great value to the conference, contributing to its development and educational aspect.<\/p>\n

Another area for meetings and conversations were the stands of partners and exhibitors who presented their recent solutions. This year our technological partner, Tricentis<\/a><\/strong>, demonstrated their new Tosca<\/a><\/strong> module, which facilitates handling of mobile app tests. Certainly, we could not miss it!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EuroSTAR finale \u2013 a moment to celebrate triumphs and achievements<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The conference ended with a gala where the contests were resolved and the awards presented. It was the night full of emotions, when the attendees\u2019 achievements in various software testing areas were highlighted and awarded.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the partners organized different contests at their stands, where the attendees had a chance to demonstrate their skills and solutions. The jury assessed submitted applications for innovation, quality and impact on the industry. The winners were presented awards showing recognition for their effort and engagement. It was a moment full of pride and excitement, both for the winners and for all attendees. Special element of the gala were the presentations by industry experts, talking about the latest trends in the areas of AI, automation, or advanced testing and security solutions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EuroSTAR summary \u2013 expertise and inspiration in one place<\/strong><\/h2>\n

EuroSTAR 2023 was very highly praised by the international community attending the conference. During the several days of the event its attendees had a unique opportunity to participate in tutorials and workshops run by experts from various areas of software testing. If you want to improve your skills and broaden your horizons, always do it with the best!<\/p>\n

Owing to numerous networking meetings and Q&A sessions we could share ideas, experiences and best practices. It was a perfect environment for building new professional relations.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank the organizers, speakers and all attendees for their engagement and contribution in the success of the conference. Thanks to them EuroSTAR is a platform supporting continuous professional and personal development. We are proud to be a part of this community and share our passion with others.<\/p>\n
