ABNF Auditor

It is a tool created for the purpose of verification of the flat file type ABNF, through which we are able to quickly and simply verify the data contained in them, as well as the file structure based on selected rules.



This tool increases the efficiency of the verification process and allows for the implementation of high quality solutions in organisations, which must handle large amounts of data from multiple sources. The verification of data includes tests to identify the problems related to data volume, integrity, consistency, and accuracy of data and its validation by the defined rules.

This tool can be successfully applied in:

  • Process of migrating data driven by changes in technology or system

    By using this tool, it is possible to verify the correctness of the file extraction for migration, for example in terms of the accuracy of the data contained in it.  

  • Verifying the precision of the data flow between systems

    Thanks to ABNF Auditor, it will be possible to verify each of the generated files in a more effective way, before it is downloaded by the Client.

  • Verifying the correctness of the data export to text files

    The tool will verify the correctness of the data format in the generated files

Data processing

The tool allows loading of flat files containing complex data structures generated by IT systems into database tables in order to further verification.

It is possible to load multiple files simultaneously. The system records the progress and accuracy of the loading process.



It is possible to verify a single file, a comparative analysis of the two files (global or partial), and a comparative analysis of the file and data from external databases.

Launching verification allows you to define:

  1. The number of rules – enabling a single verification rule, few chosen rules at once or a package of rules (structural rules/ content related rules/ business rules),

  2. Scope of tables/ type of files being subject to verification using a chosen rule.

Verification of files/data is realised based on the following rules:

  • integrity of files/data structure,

  • integrity of the data’s content, maturity, and their dependence,

  • integrity for business. (i.e. complex mathematical calculations based on formulas)

The results of each verification are recorded in the system and are ready to export as a file (e.g. Excel).



System stores historical data on the following:

  • verification
  • inconsistencies detected during verifications

Such a scope of information allows to draft reports that enable keeping statistics on types of errors occurring in time, easy identification of the detected inconsistencies in the verified file, and locating the verified data in the database.
